Her Inspiration
Cameron Diaz is inspired by her parent's strong, long, happy marriage. She said, "It's a bond that is so true, so pure, and so powerful, it is the most beautiful and inspiring thing that I have ever witnessed - the eternal love that my mom and dad shared. It was what has given me the strength and courage to live this extraordinary life and it is what powers the light that burns inside of me."

Inspires Me
Pivotal Moment
A moment that changed Cameron Diaz's life was when she auditioned for "The Mask". She had no former training for acting but she got the part of Jim Carrey's love interest in the movie. She auditioned 12 times. The fact that she didn't have much experience didn't stop her "newfound star power" from going unnoticed by critics. After this, she was cast for more roles in other movies.

Adversity
Cameron Diaz suffers from OCD, and has publicly admitted she habitually rubs doorknobs hard before opening doors. She washes her hands many times each day and uses her elbows to push open doors. Diaz says, "I think I've made my peace with it" in 2007. She isn't scared of germs but she does not like other people's "fluids".
Success
Cameron Diaz first real success was being a 16 year old model signed with top modeling agency Elite Model Management. When she graduated from high school, she went to Japan to model. Cameron also modeled for designers like Levi & Calvin Klein. & she was on the cover of Seventeen Magazine.
In 1990, Diaz auditioned for The Mask, even though she had no acting experience. After that, she kept acting, usually in small, low budget roles.
